Douglas Amac Carburettors
« on: 14 Mar 2009 at 09:15 »
Hi All
Would anyone be able to tell me the life span of the “Douglas Amac” carburettor with the cylindrical hot air chamber?
I have seen them on “veteran” models, 1914 and earlier but was wondering when they were ceased.
Also did Amac make the carburettor with the oval hot air chamber which replicated the shape of the mounting flange? I think this type was still used in to the twenties.

The attachment shows the cylindrical type (although poor quality)
Can anyone attach a better quality picture and give any more information.
Regards

Martin
