Have you tried the new Drafts feature yet? I just lost a long message today and learned my lesson. It is a good idea to save a draft of any long post you are writing. You can then just keep writing and keep saving a draft, knowing you have a backup if there is a glitch. The draft is automatically deleted when you post the message.

Hi All,
I have finally got round to writing the CNC programs for early Douglas 2 3/4hp Fork Spindle kits - the type of fork fitted I believe between approx. 1912-19.
Spindles are manufactured from tough stainless 316 and original Douglas fork spindles pulled from an original set of forks were used as the template.  The set is four spindles and includes the original type castellated nuts (also in stainless), as well as washers and split pins.

They have been made in a slight oversize, to take into account original blade/yoke wear (and not having enough meat on them to safely rebush methinks), but detail information about them can be found in the item listing on our online catalog.

See link to these spindle sets on the (small) Douglas section of our SOHC Norton online parts catalog:

I sent you an E mail after your PM sent on my account about the 600 Aero's head bolts. Just to make sure you got it.
If others might be interested, Paul was looking about how many person could be interested?

Hi Everyone . . . it has been a while since I have been in - hope everyone good.

Just as an update - as I sold out of these fork spindle sets quite some time ago.  The last year has been quite difficult (machinery issues - now resolved touchwood, and some family illness etc). . . . so I am well behind on numerous re-stocks (Norton and Douglas).
However, thinking ahead . . . I was intending to make a new batch of these 2 3/4hp early type fork spindle sets again in the next 6 months.
With that in mind, trying to ascertain numbers - if you are interested in a set, then you can email me on paul.norman@racingvincent.co.uk.

If I dont reply within a week or two, my apologies, but just try again - not enough hrs in day at the moment. Best
Paul
