Uncle Bob on his Douglas - 1948 near Chesterfield

Hi there

I have a pic here of my Uncle Bob on his Douglas. The pic was taken in 1948 near Chesterfield although it looks like a 1936 model he’s astride.
I wondered what HP or cc it is/was & if the machine is still alive?

Richard,

It is either a 250 or 350cc, the only difference was the cylinder bore. You are right in that it is a 1936 model. Perhaps '37, though it is not clear if they still offered the smaller machines. They were definitely dropped from the catalog by 1938.
