AMAC jet sizes
« on: 12 Oct 2008 at 23:59 »
Folks, my TS with its new AMAC carb had some issues at the start of the Canberra rally which turned out to be that someone in the past had reamed out the main jet - maybe to run methanol  - it was numbered a 27 which from what we could make out is what it is supposed to have.

I woyuld like to put the correct jet in it - and I have heaps of AMAL jets here - is there an online cross reference between AMAL and AMAC jet sizes ? Is an AMAC 27 the correct size ?

We put a 30 in and it worked quite well for the rest of the rally.

Ian,

An AMAC 27 jet is equivalent to an AMAL 70 jet, both measuring 0.028" bore. Will try to get a cross reference table scanned and uploaded shortly.
