hi every one new to forum from bonnie Scotland     how to wire up mag   does kill button go onto cap  and what is other conection  for just at side of cap  jim

Jim,
        The wire from the kill button goes to the terminal on the cap that covers the points. The other terminal (on one of the studs that retains the magneto backplate) is for an earth wire. This  terminal is often not used as the earth wire from the battery is usually connected to a mounting bolt for the battery carrier, and is thus connected in turn to the crankcase of the engine.
