Well, after two+ years doing multiple rebuilds and pulling my hair out regarding carburation I finally had a run on the E28 when I could say it ran well - I guess persistence pays off !! Gearbox still drops out of first but I can handle that. I changed it back to refurbished original carby with dual levers rather than twistgrip - and made up a hot air inlet pipe. Came to a halt at one stage due to the drive gear for the magneto coming loose on its taper - fixed on the roadside and completed the run under its own steam. Just in time for the Douglas Rally next month.
