Tank back from the painters
« on: 10 Aug 2012 at 11:47 »
I just thought I would share a picture of my G31 Tank after it was painted and decals added.

Some 10 hours of work and lots of lacquer..

Engine is nearly back together thanks to Doug for the valves and LDMCC for valve springs and tap and die..

Regards

Alex

very good work!
is the E31 tank same?
I'm looking for original pictures of E31. I think the E31 there was only 1931st

Manfred,

The finish would be much the same except there probably was a painted top panel. The tank is similar, except that the E31 would not have an oil compartment in the petrol tank.

Hi Doug

It would be interesting finish of the originals (no restoration) E31. I have not found a photo.
When I clean red ornamental stripes found on the rims. I had not seen this before, but seems to be original.
The tank is available, but only with bad chrome without color.
The difference in detail T6-1930 and E31-1931 would be very interesting

Manfred,

You should start a new topic for your rims and differences between T6 & E31.
