Dragonfly front brake arm/lever
« on: 15 Aug 2023 at 08:24 »
hello all,

I'm looking to find out if anyone has a spare, or knows where I can obtain a Dragonfly front brake lever arm, or whether there are other British bike models arms that will fit.

The one on the dragonfly currently is a home made affair which does the job but does not look correct.

Any help on this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Stuart.

Hi Stuart
You will need to list if the brake's are either Douglas or British Hub Co,  If they are Douglas you could try the club spares as they may have some.
Best wishes

Thanks for the reply, how would I know the difference between the two?

Hi
The Douglas brake plates are cast alloy,  the British Hub brake plates are a thin alloy pressing riveted to a steel plate on the inside, The ends of the spindles are parallel with rounded ends on the British Hub's and the Douglas type are four sided square. I hope this helps
