Douglas models

I am looking to buy a classic motorcycle and I am interested in a Douglas Can you tell me which is the best model to look for,not a pre war very expensive one.

Geee,  I think the best model is the one each of us has. You need to check out the models in identifying Douglas models then keep an eye on eBay, car and Classic, all the classic bike magazine adverts to ascertain prices and what you can afford, then work out what usage you have for the bike
THEN that's the bike for you.

If you are looking at the postwar era Douglas, then fundamentally have two choices, one of the Mark series or a Dragonfly. If prewar is not in your budget, then you can exclude the more expensive postwar Plus and Comp (trials) series from your search. So look at the Mark series and Dragonfly to start with, and see if either appeals to you.
