This is such sad news. A friend and I met him once, he was a cracking guy. He told us some very funny stories about his competitions and some of his fellow competitors. This was after he was told by the racing autorities that he was not allowed to race any more, which he was not happy about!
As I say, I only met him once for about an hour but I was struck by what a genuine man he was.
