My helping hand.
« on: 22 Dec 2019 at 11:50 »
Hi to all MK owners. As the weather has been somewhat against many rides on my Douglas I retreated to the shed to ponder on any slight improvements that I could make to my trusty steed. One thing that I have found most difficult is putting the bike on its stand as it's a bit on the heavy side for me. Also where to carry various bits of shopping from the auto jumble. So this is what I feel was best needed for purpose , it utilises the existing upper frame fixing holes for the tool boxes so no need for extra drilling or messing up the paintwork, the construction is all from half inch steel tube bent and brazed  together with swaged ends at fixing points this has proved just the job, any comments most welcome. Have a Merry Christmas all. Phil.

Hi Barnacle
Thanks for your response, this is definitely a one off made  by me over a period of a few days, and you could probably attach a pillion seat on top if needed. Cheers Phil.
