DT value?
« on: 08 Feb 2009 at 23:00 »
G'day all
I have been asked to place a value on a DT Douglas, this is a very desirable machine indeed.
DT motor with TT gearbox wheels with brakes.
The owner is aware of the prices achieved early last year in the UK and wants to know what his is worth....not for sale at this point.
What is a reasonable value...it has all the trick bits!
Howard.

Hello Howard, I get asked the same question by many who look upon my SW 600 (ex Len Masser that I bought for A$3400 all those years ago) Now although it is modified  with a Norton Box I still have the flywheel clutch and  Douglas gearbox. If you scroll back through old posts under the title Doug detours to Qld if my memory is correct our good friend Doug is pictured with the SW.
My usual comments to viewers are DT's etc were sold with a factory 100 mph guarantee and if I was to insure the SW I believe a reasonable current value would be a minimum of A$15 thou. Personal opinion and not for sale. regards Alan
