1950 Mk4 seal
« on: 05 Oct 2008 at 11:44 »
G'day all
Been over a mates place this afternoon talking bikes and he has a problem with oil getting into his magdyno on his 1950 Mk4 Douglas.
He seems to think this maybe a problem for this model?
Where can he obtain the correct oil seal for this (between magdyno and crankcase)....does the club have them?
Howard.

Hi Howard,
Yes, there is a seal and the Club can supply them at £1.50 each +P&P. Check out the seal that is already fitted - a lot of people fit them the wrong way round - they should be fitted with the open side to the outside - they should stop engine oil getting in rather than preventing grease getting out!
                            Regards,
                                      Eddie.
