Have you tried the new Drafts feature yet? I just lost a long message today and learned my lesson. It is a good idea to save a draft of any long post you are writing. You can then just keep writing and keep saving a draft, knowing you have a backup if there is a glitch. The draft is automatically deleted when you post the message.

General Douglas Discussion / Goulburn 100th Anniversary GP
Last post by Ian - 28 Jun 2024 at 03:05
My son and I attended the 100th Anniversary celebrations of the first sanctioned Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix in Goulburn last Sunday. There were 470 entries for the run which traced the course of the original GP - an 80km lap ! The publicity was fantastic and the event well organised. There were spectators all around the course waving.

I rode my OC600 and son rode our Scott. Interestingly, I was the only Douglas riding.
General Douglas Discussion / 80 + in France

Hello everyone, flat twin enthusiast, I obviously like Douglas motorcycles, more particularly the post-war models. I was lucky a few years ago to find an 80+ in its original condition (can you confirm this for me?). I love it and I hope to put it back on the road soon.

Thank you Eddie. I was expecting around 14 inches so I have not been clear. I meant the lateral dimension overall. Are the drawings available? That would make my day. Rod

HI Rod,
According to the works drawings, the engine rails are 6½" centres - each 3¼" either side of the frame centre line.

  Hope this helps,
General Douglas Discussion / DT frame.

Can any one advise distance between bottom frame tubes? Want to build a frame for classic speedway. Have the elevation specs. Rod Pratt
