That's a beautiful machine Daren. Did you take the photos? And who's Eric?

Hi
Eric has owned this for a long time he has a few questions to ask those in the know. Does anyone have frame dimensions for this bike as it may have been shortened when racing pre-war you can also see a kink in the lower tube of the rear frame it may also have been shortened ? It also has an OB gear box doe's anybody have a spare DT box or a case to sell as you can see it not just a pile of bits but a total restoration.
Eric has many Douglas including a S1 with extensive race mods including a very short wheel base.
These photo's were taken a few weeks ago if any Douglas fellow's need other close up pic's of the DT or S1 just ask.
Regards Daren.
Ps I'm first in line for a push start.

Hi Daren,
I too was bidding on the gearbox case but it got a bit expensive so am going to cast some up. I have a '26 TT and a '29 DT and both cases are faulty. Given the thinness of the cases and the material that Douglas cast them up from welding is extremely hard. Anyway you requested some dimensions on the DT frame. Are you still after them as I can measure mine up if required. Regards, Ian.

This is just a "bump" post in case anyone missed Earlyrider's message above. We were fiddling around with this thread and may have accidently turned off the  "New Post" icons.
