Title: Identifing this motorcycle

Hi, We are looking for any information as to identifing Douglas Motorcycle we are attempting to get up and running. Engine No 15833. Has 1914 stamped on engine side cover. Frame No 15444.
We will be wanting to purchace parts for this bike as soon as we can. any help would be much appreciated.

Timing covers (and dates engraved in them) are interchangeable, but the engine and frame numbers put it solidly in 1914 per the chart located here-

As you can see, there were four models available that year in the 2-3/4hp range besides a special ladies framed model. Basically the T was the cheapest, with the W being the top of the line fitted with free engine clutch and kick starter. Parts availibility will depend somewhat in where in the world you are located, with obviously the UK being the easiest. A fair amount of new parts are availbile for these models to members of the London Douglas Motor Cycle Club.
