Does anyone have the specifications for the oil inlet valve spring for early 2 3/4 engines - Part number 424.   I have tried to order one from the club spares but apparently Jeff Swan is indisposed at the moment.

Have you tried the new Drafts feature yet? I just lost a long message today and learned my lesson. It is a good idea to save a draft of any long post you are writing. You can then just keep writing and keep saving a draft, knowing you have a backup if there is a glitch. The draft is automatically deleted when you post the message.

Hi has anyone got a flywheel clutch assembly for an SW5 they are willing to part with.

Doug

I would recommend searching for a later 3-pin type clutch from a F/31-G/31 or '32 or the OW/OW1 models of 1934-35. Besides having three drive pins for the pressure plate verses two, you can separate the clutch disk from the backing plate. On the SW5 clutch (2-pin) type you have to un-rivet the sprocket to separate, as the hole in the backing plate is too small to allow it to pass through.

I do have drawings for the later 3-pin type if you decide to go the route of manufacturing a new flywheel clutch. I also have an example of the 2-pin type for my SW5, but it has not been drawn up.
