Does anyone have the specifications for the oil inlet valve spring for early 2 3/4 engines - Part number 424.   I have tried to order one from the club spares but apparently Jeff Swan is indisposed at the moment.

Have you tried the new Drafts feature yet? I just lost a long message today and learned my lesson. It is a good idea to save a draft of any long post you are writing. You can then just keep writing and keep saving a draft, knowing you have a backup if there is a glitch. The draft is automatically deleted when you post the message.

Hi everyone,
I'm posting this query on behalf of a new club member from Norway. He owns a T6 Douglas and was expressing an interest in the tap and die sets listed in the Club's prewar Spares List. (17/64x25tpi and 5/16x25tpi) I maybe wrong but I was under the impression these sets were for the early 2 3/4 hp models. Can anyone confirm what the thread forms of the fasteners used on the T6/S6 models please.
Many thanks
RegH

Hi All,
Further to my original post, all I really need to know is if the thread form used on the T6/S6 and possibly later 1930's Douglas models were BSW or BSF threads and what the common sizes were in order to obtain appropriate taps and dies. This is to help a member in Norway

Hi Reg

I can confirm that my 1930 T6 had Douglas own thread sizes and from memory the rear wheel adjusters were 5/16 x 25 and 17/64 rings a bell but can't remember what or where, if I get a chance tomorrow I will have a look.

Kind regards Coli

Thank you Coli. Much appreciate you taking the time.
