EW Valve compressor

Has anyone a valve compressor tool suitable for an EW?
or perhaps a drawing or sketch of one
I love the way it says its "a job to do by the road side... "

Thats a good view of the valve chest - not a lot of room
I have seen a few second hand side valve spring compressors for sale but they all seem to be for sv cars (Terrys universal etc)  I dont know if they will fit in the douglas space. and I might buy it and find its no use. I dont mind making one up but I would prefer a drawing or a couple of photos of something that works with a coin or ruler shown to give me scale.

I know this is off subject but it appears to me that the angled valve arrangement driven by one common cam lobe makes the valve timing different on the front cylinder compared to the rear. Does anyone know if this was by design to correct an issue or was it just a "that will do" decision?

          If you look again, you will see that the feet of the followers are also angled so that the working faces are vertical - giving the same timing and lift on both cylinders.

You could use that if you use a lump of brass or some such to place over the valve head to take up the space between the valve dead and the valve cap aperture. This is assuming you don't have a detachable head.
I have fitted them by hand in the past as the spring is quite light but getting them out needs a tool. I adapted a long nosed mole grip used for welding. Works fine and causes no damage.

Serendipity!
Went to a 5 stall car autojumble at weekend and just to prove that with atojumbles size does not matter
there was a Terrys valve compressor just like the one I pictured above and unlike the £30 flea bay ones it was very cheap.
Cursory examinations show it will fit but its most closed position is a little to wide for comfort and needs a tweak with a screwdriver against the valve spring
