Douglas used that type of clutch throw out cam from about 1923 onward. There were all sorts of minor changes over the years as they refined it. Also the 250/350cc Aero and the 500/600cc Aero had different size clutch release cams. The Aeros also used a cam with renewable ball races; prior to that they were integral. The hole in this one for the return spring suggests to me one for an (1930-33) S6.

A good welder could likely repair that.
It would need GOOD  penetration through that crack.
And be machined back to allow for the bearing function. (?).

The weld fillet on the outside would need to be retained - for extra strength.
And likely need to be stress relieved/heated, to avoid any difficulties with the heat zone of the weld.
Welders employed near light aircraft airfields would be your best bet.

Nothing to lose trying, could be tough to find another ?

Just found this pic on the computer of some of the (many) different variations of clutch throw out lever.



The extra bump on the Aero lever is so it can be cut short and the same forging used for the Endeavour model.

I have this clutch throw out cam/lever in my collection of stuff. It is surplus to my requirements, so if it is suitable I'm happy to sell it to you and post to NZ. Please PM me if you are interested.

But......I notice the direction of "pull" on the cable of your lever is different to the one that Doug showed in his picture for the Aero 600 and also the one I have? Which one is correct??

It has the number 11513 cast into it, but I have no idea what it was originally suitable for.
