Title: EW electric version
Post by: Raycycled on 25 Apr 2020 at 20:59
Morning all, being unfamiliar with my Doug, I have found a few contradictions with what people have told me. . I have an EW 1927 in think , with electric options first question was this only available late 27? and removable heads is this also a later up grade? Are there fixed head versions or are they just for the CW model. I’m trying to reconcile the parts I have got after recovering his bike. Thanks Ray Sydney Australia

Someone posted some material of the electric options just recently.
Perhaps they can point to them, and advise the finer details..

Detachable heads, ditto...

Interestingly, it mentions a battery, but doesn't show it as part of the kit ?
But does show it on the machine, in a battery box, so maybe it is included ?
How reliable were batteries back then, you don't often see them mentioned ?

22 watts  ?  Wow  !
Don't want to blind other road users, do we....

Thanks for posting, thats most informative.
Wonder what happened to all the discarded std timing covers.

Awesome pamphlet many thanks for posting that, So it was just an optional extra not a late model upgrade?
