Have you tried the new Drafts feature yet? I just lost a long message today and learned my lesson. It is a good idea to save a draft of any long post you are writing. You can then just keep writing and keep saving a draft, knowing you have a backup if there is a glitch. The draft is automatically deleted when you post the message.

I emailed them, via their contact form, with essentially your comments.
Lets see what happens.

Their valuations seem a trifle low. ?
I'd love that 4hp project, although a lot to find.
Good job its far away ...

EW-Ron

Hmmm, bidding is going ahead with those wrong descriptions.
That "EW" has already attracted 15 bids....

Wonder what the washup is when the winner finds its not what it was represented as ??

cardan

Very difficult to date old motorcycles...

EW-Ron

I have been contacted by the auction house in question,
asking how I established this is not an EW model but a TS model.

I very nearly replied that blind freddy could tell the difference, but we kept it polite. !
I did throw in the 1920s 4hp  "1912"  also ...

So we will see what happens now. ?

Ian

The now says is a 1925 TS 600 - I want one of those

EW-Ron

Yes, I have mentioned that it is still not quite right

Having 2 wrongly id-ed Duggies has upset the applecart ...

EW-Ron

They iz gittin there.

At least the headlines are correct.
Pretty swift action for an auction house, I'd venture.
Getting the blurb to match might be a big ask.

Doesn't seem to have slowed the bidding.
That 4 HP would be uncommon in Oz ?

Yes, that is pretty responsive. Whenever I write to auction houses requesting permission to use their photos, they never reply.
Anyway, here's a couple of snips and links using their updated headings so we don't have to scroll to the top of this topic.

I went to view these bikes yesterday and told him what models they were. We found some of the frame and engine numbers to identify the year. The TS frame number was under a lot of paint and filler so could not be seen.
Paul.

Auction house is learning all about Duggies !

The gal that does the website emailed all the Douglas bidders a couple of days ago that the descriptions were inaccurate.
Since then, the bidding has intensified !

Daren W Australia

The 4hp sold for  $8,350 and the 1924 2 3/4 sold for $7,650 Ta Daren
too many dougli not enough time!

karri

I really wanted that 2 3/4 but with the buyers fee and shipping to Western Australia it was getting expensive.
