Have you tried the new Drafts feature yet? I just lost a long message today and learned my lesson. It is a good idea to save a draft of any long post you are writing. You can then just keep writing and keep saving a draft, knowing you have a backup if there is a glitch. The draft is automatically deleted when you post the message.

The folks at Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood auctions have sent along advance notice of a sale on 16th November, 2021 wherein there will be a collection of memorabilia of Harold Hicks. Harold Hicks rode for the Douglas motorcycle company in the mid through late twenties. There is mention in the Douglas histories of him winning awards in trials events both on factory teams and individual awards. The items include gold and silver medals and silver and plated trophy cups won during that period. Approx 50 lots in total.

The sale is not posted to their website yet, but they sent along some pictures of some of the lots (see further below). When the catalog is posted, we will add a link to it.

The catalog has now been posted for this sale HERE occurring on November 16th, 2021:

No catalog search utility, but the Harold Hicks lots are 476 to 518 inclusive.
