Pushrod 80+ aand Pushrod Dragonfly
« on: 24 Jan 2022 at 15:44 »
Hi,

I have started to work on a Douglas 80+ project. There are several parts missing, but fortunatly most of the special Plus parts are there.
Today it I have separated the heads from the engine and found a pushrod missing. It is special and not T35 common and aluminium made and 6" x 3/8" dia.
I remeber a Dragonfly pushrod is alsoan aluminium one.
Is it possible to use a Dragonfly pushrod or make it fit?

Michael

Hello Michael

I looking your pushrod pictures, and noticed, that I have a exact similar pushrod in my 90+, only one, (three are missing). I have alloy head, and barrels, and thinking, that this pushrod are only have been wit alloy parts??

Michael, Veikko,

The alloy pushrod is standard for 80/90+. As I understand both iron and alloy heads/barrels used the alloy pushrod. Not sure if the Dragonfly item is similar. But someone will know.
