90? colour?
« on: 06 Jan 2022 at 19:35 »
Hello There

I like asking 90+ colour code. I have got a many years ago, ICI Rootes autumn gold code: 0682515m, but our car paint shop did`t find any of this!

Regards

Hi Veikko,

I have painted my 90+ some years ago and can try to find the paint can I used ( I ordered also autumn gold).
It was specially mixed and hope there is a code on it.

Michael

Hi Veikko,

the code is right:

I.C.I Rootes 'autumn gold '
ICI ref. 068 2515 m

I find information searching in this forum. May be there is an alternative code on my paint can.

Hello Veikko ,

I was in my workshop to search for the paint can. I got it, but unfortuntely a part of the label is covered with paint.
It today seems to be the same code, but there is also TALBOT to read.
May be it was a Talbot colour?

We rebuilt a 90+ a couple of years ago. Our front brake had its original paint, so we asked our painter to match the rest of the bike to this. we agreed on the colour match he found, however once we reassembled the bike, we found that the colour had changed slightly, so had to repaint the front brake (which had been the only part in its original, but perhaps faded, paint) to match. I've seen quite a few 90+ bikes at shows, they're all different shades of gold!!
Best of luck,
Roger
