Non-return oil valve for CW
« on: 05 Dec 2021 at 04:31 »
Dear All
Was wondering whether anyone could assist me in identifying the brass male/male joiner 7/16 - 20 Tpi (I think) that joins the oil line to the crankcase of the CW Douglas. I am told it incorporate a non-return valve and that a drawing was available on the forum. The only one I can find is this one - Drawings for non-return oil valve, Models CO, 600EW, F28, 350EW posted the 24/10/21 is this valve and dimensions the same for the CW.
Thanks for any assistance you can provide.
Darryl

Hi Darryl,

Have a look at this thread. I think we decided that the TS/CW used the larger thread at the cylinder end, with the EW using the smaller.

The 7/16-20 thread is pretty common - it's actually a cycle thread.

Cheers

Leon
