Anyone in Newport or bristol got a flywheel extractor i could borrow. Could bring my engine around and do it there and then if that would be ok.Bit cheeky i know.

Might be usefull info.held the engine minus head and pistons just off the bench nice and horizontal by the flywheel while my son took a aluminiam dowl 30mm and gave the crank one decent tap.The engine droped straight onto my rag pile no problem.Just one sharp metal to metal tap, metal hammer used as well.

I made the most massive extractor to no avail (see New Con Rod and on this forum )in the end a small extractor did the job, the secret? lots and lots of heat

Loving the technical 3 Duggar Duggar.Do us a favour can you measure the thickness of ring on the flywheel that mates with the clutch release/thrust bearing.Im making one got the inside and outside by measuring, but can only guess the thickness from photo,s like yours.Cheers Neil
