Would anyone read (or more importantly buy) a book about racing Douglases?
There's now quite a pile of material on this site that covers the development of the Douglas racing motorcycle: the thread on Les Bailey

https://www.douglasmotorcycles.net/index.php?topic=5444 has a lot of interesting material on the fantastic, although unsuccessful, TT, Brooklands, and Sprint bikes of the 1930s, and so on.
Add in a chapter about the Dirt Track Douglas (probably the only bit of the story well covered in already-published books), a chapter on the post war racers (90 Plus), and a chapter on the post-Douglas-demise era of privateer sprinting, and I think there's a great story to be told.
But while people might buy a book on "The Vincent Black Lightning", they may no be so keen to line up for an offering on Douglas racers. I suspect the key would be great photos: Does the LDC have an archive of racing photos?
