Mark V swing arm pivot pin end cap
« on: 18 Dec 2016 at 14:47 »
Hi Douglas aficionado's

Can anybody tell me the size of the bolt which screws into the ends of the pivot pins on the swing arm. It looks like they keep the grease in (I think).

Any help greatly appreciated.

Steve.

Ive found out (by trial and error), that its the same size as the bolt securing the anchorage plate to fork on the rear brake drum assembly - which from the parts list is 1/2" BSF.

Hope this helps someone in the future.

Yes, it is a short bolt hexagon head 1/2" BSF and only 1/2" long thread; in the center a grease nipple.

Do you need a photo?

Hi Michael,

No, don't worry, but really useful to understand the length, and confirmation of the size. I can see from the parts catalogue that it has a grease nipple in it.

Many thanks for taking the time to clarify.

Steve.
