EW350 Primary chain
« on: 22 Jun 2014 at 14:50 »
Hello everybody,
When a problem is solved, an orther one comes. This afternoon, I was driving my EW350 and I hear a big noise. The engine is OK but 100 meters further the bike stop and I think a clutch or gearbox problem. I was not far home and go back to check what happened. I notice that I loose the primary chain ! I returned on the way but unfortunately I didn't find the chain !!.
Do you know which kind of chain I need (EW350 1926). Do you know the thread of this chain ? Do you know where I could find a other one ?
Thank you for your help.
Michel

Thank you Doug for your reply.
I don't say it yet but last sunday evening was lucky: I found my chain on the road without his connecting link and the belgian team goes 1/8 football final.
The sizes of my chain are pitch 1/2", inside 0,205" and diametre 0,305".
So it's seems to be a mix of 415 and 110044  :?
Do you know where to find connecting link for 1/2" x 3/16" chain with ref. 415 or 110044.
Kind regard.
Michel

Michel,

I do not know who to recommend for roller chain in the EU. I bought directly from Reynolds as they did not have any distributors here in the USA. They had an depot on the west coast, if I recall correctly (this was about ten years ago).
