1921 2.75hp (model W) Rear Reg Plate Mounting
« on: 23 Jun 2012 at 15:17 »
Looking for some help on correct arrangement for attaching the rear reg plate to the rear mudguard.
Can anyone help with pictures and/or sketches of original brackets or parts that did the job.
Whilst my lower bracket looks the part, I cant believe these two studs would have been the original  method!
Thanks in advance,
Tony.

Hi Tony
You are quite correct. The studs are not original. The rear number plate was simply attached by two screws and nuts to the holes in the rear tube of the carrier and then to the mudguard via a "T" bracket leaving the rear number plate at an angle.
Chris.

Hi Chris,
Many thanks for your input.
I had a browse through some pics of other machines and presume that this one is pretty near correct?
Do you happen to know what the size of the reg plate was?
Mine is 9.5" wide x 6.5" high.
Tony
