Douglas seat pan
« on: 03 Aug 2017 at 21:09 »
Hi Doug, do happen to have a picture of the pan seat you are after? After much heart ache and struggle I have finally been able to get the english style "Douglas"? pan seat manufactured. I have made a run of 20 and going to see if there is an interest in them. They are made from cold rolled 1.2mm steel. I've attached a photo of the finished product. Going to sell these  completely finished  (as per picture) for  $500 AUD excluding GST and postage.
In regards to the 2 3/4Hp gears I also got a Quote to produce these (for a batch of 30) and the price worked out to be $30 each. Thats finished harden and bushed product. However i got very little response and since there was not enough interest i didn't go ahead with them. Anyway. .... Sorry to go off the topic in hand.

It was not so much the seat pan (though that is required too) but the complicated under-frame that the Brooks B220 used.

Which you can see here:

As for the pan, it mounts to the under-frame out at the sides rather than at the rear.
