Bert Pol's Cast Iron Blanks for 2 3/4 pistons ?
« on: 23 Jun 2015 at 14:39 »
Does anybody have any experience with them ? (or similar ?)

After my rear aluminium one lasting under 4 years (ie less than 16 runs !) I'm not sure that the rear cylinder on a 2 3/4 is a satisfactory application for an aluminium piston... unless everything is always absolutely perfect !
ie
- no problems with weak mixture (carb icing on inlet branch),
- no problems with retarded ignition (blown condenser),
- no problems with the splash lubrication (gunged oil due to blocked drain),
- no problems with getting stuck in crap traffic (beginning, middle and end of every pioneer run)
