A hello to all, I am rebuilding an old DT or SW racer, early frame number, though the frame is very poorly.
The engine is currently being rebuilt and has a full race magneto and twin carbs etc.
The wheels will need to be rebuilt with brakes, so quite a project I have on my hands, yet it will be used and ridden whatever the weather once done, and as intended.
Hope to enter a few sprints over here, though my main concern is the frame, do i replace the tubing or do i find another frame? and keep the original...
That is sort of a rhetorical question that i am pondering.
Will need the odd ancillary control to make it road ridable as well, as clearly every old speedway / dirt track rider had their own individual setup by looking at old photos and comparing to what my one is like....I reckon mine a 1928.
