Can anyone assist with information regarding Rev Counters for the Plus. Instrument spec. drive ratios etc. ? In addition how does the drive engage with the engine/magneto?

Attached (I hope) is a photo I took today which may help. The drive ratio is one to one. Drive is obtained via an extended nut holding the mag pinion on. Since the drive is trying to undo the nut a special tab washer will have to be used. This locates in the extractor holes and fold up against the new nut. I have used this set up and know it works. The adaptor plate is an option. They were made for the club about 50 years ago. There is a problem with them as the drive sits too far in and the drive cable union fouls. You need to make a distance piece between the plate and the drive. It does ensure accurate alignement however.   Careful measuring is required to get the right amount of engagement between the drive and nut.  Hope this helps.
