Brake drums
« on: 08 Oct 2010 at 15:17 »
Hej all.
Brake drums with conical splines are out of stock here in DK.
Even as scrap (with useable splines) is it impossible to get some,- they have all been used,- weldet in partly
new drums.
The problem seems to be the same other places in the world.
In Denmark we decided to make a small batch of 3 new drums,- the job is done and the result is well.
Drawings of brake drums is not available,- but there is a drawing af the hub (from Doug 18 years ago) this
drawing was usefull,- as it shows,- conical angle,- numbers of splines and angle of splines. This drawing can be
obtained from me.
To show the whole proces is a fotoserie enclosed
Regards Edin DK

Edin, Congratulations people like you amaze me, the splendid effort you will go to. The brake drum project was obviously not an easy one, but what a success it has been.
This spurs me on to have a go at my own "brick wall" I have come up against, that is making a new camshaft for my SW5. BARRYM
