Ew 350 foot board brackets
« on: 07 Apr 2020 at 07:49 »
I am busy restoring my 1926 ew and have come to the foot board brackets That mount on the frame. Does anyone out there have any pics or drawings of the offending items so that i can make new ones for my bike also any info on chain case covers and chain covers would be greatly welcomed too.

I have some visible at the moment, in the cleaning/inspection/straightening phase.
I'll get some pics when the sun shines next  (tomorrow, hopefully !)
In return I'd ask for a few basic measurements of the rack.

Can't help with the covers, I can only watch with interest.
I'm a shade surprised someone doesn't do them, as off the shelf items.
Cheers.

A search turned up pictures in this post. Seems to remember sending drawings out to several folk.

Ah well thats better then mine, which are still on the bike.
And just need some minor straightening.

Its actually just the basic measurements of the rack I could use.
I have pics aplenty, but for accuracy some lengths would be great.
Just how long/wide the basic top is, and how long the arms slanting down.

PDF of the drawings attached. Note these are based on 1926 and 1927 info. I believe the foot boards and mountings went through a number of iterations. Like the earlier ones had the end of the tubes full diameter rather than pinched. Aluminum clamps held the foot board to the tubes, rather than just a through bolt. But when this changed, I don't know.
