2024-06-11, 21:02:05Have you tried the new Drafts feature yet? I just lost a long message today and learned my lesson. It is a good idea to save a draft of any long post you are writing. You can then just keep writing and keep saving a draft, knowing you have a backup if there is a glitch. The draft is automatically deleted when you post the message.

Can someone tell me how to adjust the valve clearance in my Douglas T6? I can't see any gap for a feeler gauge.
It looks like everything is screwed together.
Or do I need to take the timing case off?

There are a couple of other options currently on eBay uk. May give you some insight

The two random cranked arms may form the sprung assembly? See attached pics

I've attached pictures of all of the parts that that I can find for this seat and in the last 2 pictures my attempt at a partial assembly. There are 2 cranked arms approx. 3 inches long by 5/8 wide and 3/16 thick, shown in last 2 pictures, which I think go with the other parts.
If you recognise the parts and have a better idea of the assembly I'd be most grateful.

Last post by saluki42 - 07 Jan 2025 at 11:14Hi there, Looking through the kit of parts that came with my Model Z I have come across a bit of a puzzle. I have a complete rear luggage carrier as shown on the original factory road test photographs. The other thing I seems to have is a fully dismantled and rusty, mudguard mounted, adjustably sprung, single pillion seat frame.
This seat frame looks as if all of the bits are there but without further information I have no idea if they really are and even less of an idea how they fit together.
If anybody out there has any information or better still pictures of the assembly of these parts I would be very grateful.
