I was thinking there must be a lot of very fit motorcyclists in NSW now. Since Gladys said motorcycling is exercise the roads round here have been packed !

My wife and I have been out riding  this morning: 20km through the local National Park. Motorcycles of sorts - ebikes! 250 watts (1/3 hp) of raw power that only kicks in when you pedal. I can recommend them for exercise if you have access to somewhere hilly to ride. We've done about 3000km in the past 3 years, mostly on fire trails and gravel roads. Great fun.

Riding really old bikes often leaves me exhausted, although I'm not sure it amounts to "exercise" in the traditional sense. I think the origin of the exhaustion is the joggling that comes from riding with hard beaded-edge tyres, primitive suspension and unyielding saddles. I'm not sure these things are so obvious on a modern motorcycle!

Cheers
