I have just acquired a 1950 Douglas 90 plus from an old guy in our village, he bought it in 1979.
The bike has X90 stamped on the engine and gearbox, it has also come with alloy barrels and heads but these are not fitted. It has rearset footpegs and a kickstart with a bend in it to clear the footpeg, there are no mountings for headlamp brackets on the forks, which makes me think it has been raced.
I’m looking at rebuilding the engine, any recomendations for someone near South Scotland and am trying to trace the bikes history. Hopefully some of your members will be able to point me in the right direction.
