Dragonfly Brake lining
« on: 08 Jul 2021 at 12:17 »
Hello, the British Hub front brake linings on my 57 Dragonfly are contaminated and need replacement, can anyone confirm the original thickness they should be?
Thanks

I have had a problem with bearing grease breaking down and contaminating the linings. so I would suggest you check that first. I have taken the whole wheel to Classic Brake Service in Whaley Bridge or someone similar, who will fit oversize linings and then skim them down to fit the drum.  Does a great job.

Peter, that's pretty much much what has happened to my linings plus previous owner was very generous with copper grease in there. Will need to measure the shoes in place and and then the hub to get a starting point for the linings and go from there.
Thanks Mike
