Motor for sale in NZ

Just wondering, all you experts out there, what this motor is off please?

It's on our Trade Me site and states it's for a 1936-1937 600cc Douglas.
I'm quite curious.

Pretty sure this is a Douglas pallet truck engine - right-angled starting arrangement is quite distinctive.

Quiet Saturday morning here in Adelaide - warm, heavy overcast, with drops of rain. It's either the weather or my age, but the complete rubbish written in advertisements is starting to really get to me.  How about: "Douglas industrial engine, complete, nice condition $NZ1,500"?

Hello All.
I have one of these engines and to me it has been a mystery as it has detachable flat heads unlike the engine in my screw lift pallet truck which has cast iron heads with the valves cast as part of the heads. Other motors I have for display are also the same. In one of my crazy moments I thought it would be a great idea to use one these fully recirculating oil motors into a 30 frame. The heads didnt suit as the exhaust pointed straight down so I used 29 heads and barrels. A mod to the seat down tube allowed the fitting of a dolls head Norton box with more suitable clutch with Jawa plates. Like a lot of my projects awaiting labour and completion.
