black sheep,
I am big at 6'4" and earlier in the year I was 267 lbs. I had to use google to figure out stone, and it put me at just a tick over 19. However, I have been on a fitness blitz and have dropped to 239lbs (17 stone) and expect to be close to 200lbs (14 stone) by race time.
Yes, the hills are a challenge. The steeper ones require a critically time downshift to low gear to finish the ascent. I find I can run about 25mph climbing just about any grade in low gear however. In high gear I consistently cruise around 45 mph on the flat, with top speed being about 53.
Aside from my cam stud backing out, the engine is running quite strong. I am going to fit a 14" rear belt drum (replacing the stock 18") and see if I can get a bit more cruising speed while not trading off on my low gear hill climbing capability.
Also, I need to do and update on the blog...the engine failure has had me a bit busy.
