I have been playing round with different types of oil for my TS Douglas and was wondering what type of oil should be used in these. I have been using Penrite Shelsey Medium which is a special oil for vintage vehicles and is roughly equivalent to a straight 40. I use this (or sometimes the heavy 50 weight version) in all my dry sump style bikes and the old cars. Is it too heavy for the total loss system on the Douglas ? Should I go to a lighter oil ? I will also need to decide what oil to use in the OC600 - same question.
