Hi Leon

This is certainly the brake block mount as fitted to the 1914 3 1/2hp machines, and I presume the 2 3/4s. Whether it was fitted to earlier years models I don't know.

Does anyone know when the holes disappeared? I think later (I don't know how much later) the brake shoe was solid and there was an eccentric pin on the mount for adjustment.

Chris I have someone looking for a block for a 1915, if he doesn't want this one you're welcome to it. Bert Pol http://www.bertpol-vintagemotorcycles.com/parts%20Douglas.htm has repro solid ones, and to be honest this one is not very flash!

          This is exactly the same as the one fitted to my 1913 'TT' 2¾HP - even down to the lightening holes.

Thanks for the offer, I have seen them on Bert Pol in Ali bronze but think I would rather have an original if poss or I could machine one out of solid or even fadricate one.
Please let me know if comes available as I am interested.
