Hello,
I am new in this forum, and I work on a Ddouglas A31.
My first question concernes the gear box:
Is the thread of the sprocket securing nut a right or left one?

Roberto,
Both the input and output shafts nuts are right-hand thread. The tab washer behind the nut may be interfering with loosening the nut. Make sure it is folded down flat.
