It was reported that on Saturday 23 May 1914  Edgar Meller's first use of a Douglas in competition was when he won the MCC of NSW Flexibility Hill Climb at Seaforth using his brother, Frank's Douglas, No 6129. On 5 October 1914 he won the first Grand Prix of Australia at Kirkconnell using his newly acquired 2 3/4 TT Douglas.

Manly Library has a short story on this :

Edgar was actually one of five motorcycling brothers and, Frank, one of the brothers won the 1914 Zenith Cup, a series of Trials, on a 2 3/4 Douglas.
