A different shade of blue....

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone out there could help me with the colour code for the blue panels of the 1930's dougies?  I have been trying to find a suitable touch up paint for my 1932 Bulldog but have come up short.
Is there and official Douglas paint or is it just any shade of blue that people have lying in the shed?

Rob, the blue used by Douglas`s was Roots Oxford Blue which unfortunately is no longer available, try to match it, using as a starter, Oxford University Blue.
Others may have different ideas, but that was how I did my EW.

Rob,
        As Roy says, Rootes Oxford Blue is no longer available as one of the pigments has been discontinued. When I resprayed a veteran tank I used British Standard Oxford Blue in 2 pack - from the colour swatches, I couldn't see any difference!! Of course, these colours may not exactly match what you have either due to fading or dirt inclusion on your original paintwork.

Thanks for your advise.  I think i maybe better off repainting the whole tank panels as touching up rarely looks any good
