Dragonfly Carburetor Airfilter & Toolbox
« on: 29 Jun 2012 at 11:43 »
Hello
We are trying to fit the period airfilter to the carb on our Dragonfly and have found that the carburetor intake is not central to the hold in the toolbox.
As a result the airfilter cannot be fitted.
Now looking at the sketch in the original manual the hole in the toolbox appears to be off center which would makes sense.
The toolbox also appears slimmer in this illustration as well.
So the question is, did Douglas make a different toolbox during the production run, did they make more than one airfilter to fit it as a result or did they just make a mistake in the design?

Or (and this is more likely) are we doing something wrong?

Best Regards
Chris
