MK1 PISTONS
« on: 03 Mar 2012 at 03:23 »
ANYBODY HAVE OR KNOW OF ANY MK1 PISTONS, 020 or larger.  or  If anyone has an ingenious solution to the piston supply problem for the Mk1.    I am dead in the water without new or good used pistons...:frown:

Thanks,
JR

JR,
You could look out for a pair of barrels and pistons for the WW2 generator engine. Most of these engines have seen very little work, so have good standard bores. The only modification needed is to trim away the top fin to clear the finning around the exhaust port on the head.

 Regards,
                Eddie.

Hi Eddie,
I would love to find such a thing but I am on the West Coast of Canada and there are very few sources except internet.  I am a member of The LDMCC and am soliciting their assistance but am also trying hard on every front.  Do you have any suggestions on how I might locate the generator barrels and pistons?

John
